THE ICONIC CITROEN C3 GETS BETTER IN EVERY WAY WITH MORE SPACE, TECHNOLOGIES, AND HYBRID POWERTRAIN.
After shaking up the market by introducing the all-new ë-C3 starting from €23,300, Citroën continues its momentum by opening orders of the all-new C3. All-new C3 replaces an iconic model that built its success on an expressive style as well as unique comfort. It retains its qualities, strengthens its popular character, and offers much more. More efficiency comes with the new Hybrid 100 version, with no charging constraints, capable of completing nearly 50% of urban journeys in electric mode, bridging the gap in the range between the 1.2 l Turbo version with manual gearbox and the electric offering. More character, with a modern, assertive design inaugurating Citroën's new styling language, and an attitude borrowed from SUV codes. More comfort on board with the adoption of Citroën Advanced Comfort® suspensions, complementing the redesigned Advanced Comfort seats and the C-Zen lounge concept on the dashboard. More space and easy ingress on board while maintaining the same footprint and agility. More accessibility with design, comfort on board, and all the expected equipment from only €14,990.

Poissy, April 9th, 2024 – By opening orders today for the petrol versions of the C3, Citroën renews a best-seller in the European market, selling over 1.5 million units since 2016. This iconic model is still a major success today, with a lifecycle curve that continues unabated. With each new generation of the C3, Citroën has decided to shake up the market by offering an innovative concept while retaining its qualities.: unique and strong design, distinctive onboard comfort, useful equipment for everyday life, and attractive price positioning.
All-New C3 is no exception to this rule and brings a true difference to the market of petrol B segment hatchbacks. Innovative, modern, and clever, it's an improvement on the previous generation in every respect. Popular above all, it appeals to a wide audience by being affordable and offering different energy solutions adapted to the customer's needs.
With the All-New C3, everything is designed to enhance simplicity and well-being. Thus, it offers the Hybrid 100 version that facilitates access to electrification. Capable of completing up to 50% of urban journeys in electric mode without the constraint of recharging, it lets customers enjoy the smoothness and flexibility of electric driving while reducing their budget and environmental footprint.
To go even further, Citroën equips the C3 for the first time with its innovative and exclusive suspension system with progressive hydraulic cushions, standard on all versions, which complements the cocooning effect provided by redesigned Citroën Advanced Comfort seats and the new C Zen Lounge dashboard architecture, designed to enhance serenity on board thanks to its uncluttered style, the Citroën Head-Up Display, and the compact steering wheel.
Feeling good also means getting into your car easily and enjoying the space on board. The C3 has made progress in both these areas by increasing its ground clearance and height, without compromising the car's length, which at 4.01m is still practical and agile in town. And of course, C3 offers all the equipment to make every journey a moment of relaxation, including 3D connected navigation on a 10'' touchscreen, automatic air conditioning, or wireless charging and mirroring.
Thus, the All-New C3 offers an optimal synthesis of design, comfort, and technology, while retaining a very attractive price positioning. Indeed, the C3 is available from €14,990 in the 1.2 petrol engine with 100hp equipped with manual gearbox. The first deliveries are due to arrive over summer 2024. The Hybrid 100 version will be available later this year.
The 48V Hybrid: the ideal synthesis for a versatile URBAN car.
Alongside the 1,2 l Turbo engine, the All-New C3 offers for the first time a hybrid powertrain thanks to the modularity of the SmartCar platform, designed to be versatile and multi-energy.
The Hybrid 100: The new C3 makes electrification more accessible by offering the Hybrid 48V technology. Compact, lightweight, and affordable, this solution is particularly appropriate for this versatile urban car, enabling up to 50% of city journeys to be made in electric mode. With no recharging constraints, it lets you enjoy all the benefits of electric driving, from the ease of driving without noise or vibration to the possibility of driving in low-emission zones, while reducing your budget and your environmental footprint.
This hybridization combines the benefits of petrol and electric with two motors that work together or separately, automatically and without driver intervention. Based on the Hybrid 48V technology, it consists of a 48V Lithium-Ion battery that recharges during certain driving phases, a 3-cylinder petrol engine of 100 hp (75 kW) from the new generation designed to specifically adapt to this new hybrid system and coupled with the new electrified ë-DCS6 dual-clutch gearbox integrating a ë-Motor electric motor of 21 kW produced in France.
More driving pleasure while reducing consumption and emissions. Simple and smooth in its use, the Hybrid 100 offers pleasure and versatility with a torque of 205 Nm (55 Nm for the electric motor) while reducing its emissions and consumption by nearly 10% compared to an equivalent petrol version. In WLTP mixed cycle, this version is homologated at 117g CO2 / km. In case of strong accelerations, the electric motor delivers additional power of 9 kW (about 12 hp), always ensures a high level of comfort while guaranteeing dynamic pick-up.
The 1.2 l turbo engine: As an entry-level option, Citroën C3 offers a 1.2-liter Turbo petrol engine with a power of 100 hp, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Completely redesigned for performance and reliability, this engine is now equipped with a timing chain. It ensures great accessibility and versatility of use for the C3. In WLTP mixed cycle, this version will target 126g CO2 / km (homologation under validation).
A unique comfort experience
C3 is renowned for its smooth driving experience and onboard comfort. It further strengthens this aspect by combining driving pleasure with the effect of a cocoon isolated from the disturbances of the outside world.
Citroën Advanced Comfort® Suspension: For the first time, the All-New C3 adopts progressive hydraulic cushion suspensions. Exclusive to Citroën, they come as standard on all C3 versions and provide occupants with a unique sensation of comfort onboard. Two hydraulic cushions are used at each corner of the vehicle in conjunction with the shock absorber and spring instead of mechanical stops: one for compression and the other for decompression.
This technological solution allows engineers to adjust the suspension more freely, providing a much smoother road feel, with the sensation of gliding over bumps. The benefit is noticeable at low speeds to neutralize road irregularities and when passing over speed bumps. At medium speeds, this innovation helps better manage body movements, especially back and forth, keeping the car horizontal on uneven roads.
Advanced Comfort® Seats: As the perfect complement to the comfort-oriented suspension, the Citroën Advanced Comfort® seats of the All-New C3 also provide gains in terms of ergonomics and postural comfort. Their design has been upgraded to be even more enveloping and provide better lateral support. They use additional foam (+10mm) to offer a feeling of softness and comfort from the first contact, ensuring good support regardless of the distance traveled.
C-Zen Lounge Concept: The front of the cabin has been designed to be simple, warm, and ergonomic to reduce mental load and provide a feeling of serenity. This is achieved first through a very minimalist dashboard treated horizontally to enhance the impression of width. Light and airy, it frees up space for the driver and passenger. The dashboard is divided into two distinct levels, with technical elements on the upper part and a comfortable section wrapped in fabric, called "Sofa Design" because it is inspired by the softness and feel of sofas, on the lower part.
The absence of a traditional instrument cluster is a real novelty for the upper level of the dashboard. The All-New C3 uses, for the first time, a new Citroën Head-Up Display, reflecting vehicle information on a glossy black surface located between the top of the dashboard and the bottom of the windshield. This clever solution ensures no duplication of information, as traditionally seen between a head-up display and an instrument cluster, allowing the driver to easily access all key information needed without taking their eyes off the road. This innovation is paired with a new compact multifunction steering wheel, smaller and easier to handle.
More space on board without compromising agility
Still as agile and maneuverable: at 4.01m in length, the All-New C3 only grows by 19mm compared to the model it replaces. It remains very compact for greater agility (turning radius of 10.6m) and has a reduced footprint on the ground for stress-free maneuvering and parking.
Easier access on board: with a height of 1.57m (without roof bars), the C3 is almost 100mm higher compared to the previous generation. The first gain is in ground clearance, which increases from 135mm for the previous C3 to 197mm for the new generation. This raised aspect, in addition to giving a slight SUV-like appearance, facilitates getting in and out of the vehicle, an important comfort element for customers, and provides a more assured drive over speed bumps and potholes often encountered in urban and suburban driving.
A more spacious interior with more legroom, headroom, and elbow room for added comfort: seating is raised by 76mm compared to the current version. This allows occupants to have a higher and more commanding driving position, with an increased sense of control and safety. Everyone benefits from better visibility outside, contributing to increased sense of well-being on board. Additionally, having more height provides more headroom (+31mm vs market average) and allows for adjustments in seating position to free up more legroom for passengers. Rear legroom is increased by at least 20mm compared to the market average. Efforts have also been made to achieve increased elbow room for rear passengers by 19mm and for front passengers by 21mm compared to the market average.
Transporting objects and luggage is easy in the All-New C3. The larger interior features useful and clever storage spaces on the door panels, center console, and under the central armrest, while a wireless charging mat is available for the center console. The trunk volume is generous and increases by 10 liters to reach 310 liters. Its capacity can be increased thanks to the modularity of the 60-40 rear seat.
More FEATURES, connectivity and technology.
The All-New C3 is more connected: Citroën C3 offers two levels of infotainment that facilitate quick access to intelligent and useful features that customers need to get around easily and live their connected lives seamlessly.
The ‘Smartphone Station’ is standard on "You" models and includes an integrated smartphone holder that allows drivers to 'dock' their device and automatically launch a new dedicated application using Near Field Communication (NFC) wireless technology. With this application, owners can use their device to access shortcuts to phone, radio, navigation, and music services. For a smooth, stress-free driving experience, the intuitive steering wheel controls are complemented by a 'Home' button on all versions that makes it easy to return to the application's home page.
- 3D navigation on a 10.25'' touchscreen is standard on "Max" versions. The central and ergonomic 10.25-inch color screen uses smartphone-inspired widget architecture to provide access, via virtual shortcuts, to key navigation, phone, radio, app, and media functions. The wireless WiFi function allows for smartphone mirroring and compatibility with Apple CarPlayTM and Android AutoTM.
- Additionally, customers can subscribe to one or both levels of "Connected Services" subscription to make the most of their system via their MyCitroën account, using the Internet or the MyCitroën app. "Connect One" will offers immediate access to e-Call and Citroën Assistance, telemaintenance services, and a digital user manual. "Connect Plus" adds real-time traffic information so drivers can choose the optimal route for their journeys, with alternatives calculated and suggested based on anticipated traffic flows and ongoing congestion.
Technologies for peace of mind: In addition to essential equipment such as automatic air conditioning, parking assistance, and a rear-view camera, wireless charging, or Apple CarPlayTM or Android AutoTM compatible mirroring function, C3 features a range of driving assistance technologies to take care of the body and mind of all occupants.
- Active Safety Brake, an emergency braking system operating from 5 to 135 km/h, day, or night, which helps limit injuries to vehicle occupants as well as pedestrians and cyclists.
- Active Lane Departure Warning helps the driver position the car correctly between lane markings by gently correcting the steering when the car drifts from its trajectory, or alerting the driver if there is low-speed drift.
- Speed Sign Recognition reads speed limit signs and displays them on the Citroën Head Up Display, informing the driver accordingly.
- Electric Parking Brake is applied automatically when the engine stops and released automatically when the accelerator is pressed. (Available on the hybrid 100 version).
- Hill Start Assist holds the vehicle for several seconds on slopes greater than 3% to help the driver avoid any unintended movement.
- Automatic switching of high beams uses the camera mounted on the windshield to automatically switch from low beams to high beams when oncoming vehicles are detected, allowing for safe crossing.
Two trim levels will be available for launch on All-New C3:
